Our heartfelt thanks to Eddie and Sharon who opened their incredible home to give us a glimpse into real life in Normandy and its history. Both are treasures that we will hold in our memory forever. Coming to Normandy has been on my “bucket list” for many years and I leave with a full head. Thank you.

From the moment we drove in and saw the beauty of your grounds and felt the warmth of welcome in your home, we knew we’d found friends and blessing. Eddie, to understand more deeply the vastness of the operation and the sacrifice of the Allies moved our hearts as well as our minds. Thank you for giving us such an amazing tour of the D Day beaches, museum and history lesson. May we always hold liberty dearly! Sharon, the history you shared with us at the tapestry was captivating – the tapestry was amazing to see. We loved the beauty of Bayeux Cathedral as well. The visits to the war graves so touched my heart. The mealtimes were delicious and very entertaining. Thank you both for every story and every moment of laughter. May your home be always blessed.
Thank you so very much for all kindness and hospitality over these last few days. We really enjoyed listening to your stories, learning about your home and walking the property: such beauty and peace. The details of history of the Normandy region is overwhelming in this short period of time and it gives us more reason to learn more about the incredible sacrifices our men and women made to secure our freedoms. Thank you both for your entertaining stories of your lives, your British humour, and your love for what you do – sharing yourselves with many.
We wish to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the over-the-top hospitality, kindness and terrific tours during our stay in Normandy. It was great to get to know the two of you over a 3 day stay. Eddie, your knowledge of history is so impressive and we feel much more educated in what occurred during WWII. Sharon, the meals you planned and prepared for us were perfectly gourmet. We loved your mealtime stories…so entertaining they were! It truly was a pleasure staying in your château and you can rest assured that we will spread the word about our experience to folks back in the States.
