Château de Beaulieu Normandy

What a fabulous stay, from the comfortable beds, the lemon curd (among other homemade marmalades) to the warm pre-dinner experience and the perfectly cooked dinner. Not to mention the expertise and knowledge of our tour guide Eddie! Thank you Sharon and Eddie you absolutely crushed it and we will always remember your attention to us as your guests of Château de Beaulieu.

Eddie and Sharon made us very welcome at Château de Beaulieu. They have created a lovely house party atmosphere and could not do enough for us. Our room was very comfortable. The food was delicious, the company excellent. Eddie's tours of the D-Day Landing sites were very good and very informative and Sharon's tour of Bayeux was fascinating and great fun. We would definitely recommend staying here if you want to explore this area of Normandy. It felt like we were leaving old friends when it came time to leave.

So very special - the hosts are so knowledgeable and hospitality is amazing. Beautiful home and bedrooms, and private tours from extremely knowledgeable couple! Their narratives and presentations enhanced our time in Normandy immensely.

​We brought our 19 year old grandson to France in May, and had the unique privilege of staying with Eddie and Sharon for 4 days. We were immersed in the understated grandeur of their château...and toured all of the beaches of D Day , Pegasus Bridge , and the cathedral and historic tapestries of Bayeux. Eddie, now retired Colonel of the Royal Marines is a well trained mentor of military tactics...and highly capable of sharing in his entertaining manner. Sharon ,with her background in history, also excels. We laughed, and we ate well, and slept in wonderful chateau splendour....a thousand thanks to Eddie and Sharon.
